When I press Global Competition it redirects me to https://terminal.c1games.com/leaderboard an I can’t change or see my algos. Did this competition already start or what?
Yes the global competition is live. However, unlike other competitions, which are single-elimination tournaments, the global competition is based on your Algo’s ELO ranking (which you can read more about here – https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elo_rating_system).
The winner for the global competition will be crowned on 12-31-18.

Do we know anything about when the games that count towards the elo will be run? If each bot participates in a couple games per day it seems like the older bots will have an advantage.

Part of this is intentional, so that you can’t just upload an algo in the last minute. Otherwise people might not upload their algo until the day before the competition ends or something. Instead we want to incentivize robust dynamic algos that can adapt to enemy strategies in the middle of a game and can maintain their spot on the leaderboard for a long time.
But, we plan on making the ranked matches occur more often so that if you upload an elite algo it doesn’t need much time to climb the ranks. The games are run automatically right now you can check your ranked matches on the MyAlgos page.
