I had an algo that was top 5 (called malice_i and hovering around 1800 elo), and it had a bug where if anybody attempted to remove a piece then that piece was destroyed I would crash. Despite losing to that crash I kept around top 5-top 10. I guess it might have lost to this bug to many times in a row so the game called it quits and said this algo keeps crashing and forced me to remove it. I do not really expect anything to change regarding this because I just re uploaded with the bug fixed, it’s just kinda annoying that i got forcefully kicked off the top 5.
We remove algos that crash frequently from the environment to increase the overall quality of matches, which we think is very reasonable. You should rise to a similar leaderboard position in a reasonable amount of time.
