I’m back from a bit of a break (life got crazy the last 6 weeks of 2018, so I decided to stop my participation for a time). But now I’ve returned as a Rust developer
I dusted off my competition scripts and will be compiling some highlight matches from Sentdex. There ended up being 91 players (once those who never submitted an algo were removed). I’ll follow the path of the top 8 as seeded in the competition (which is a by entered algo rating) along with any interesting global top 20 matches.
I believe this is going to be another single-elimination competition. When the rounds get posted, you can see by clicking “matches” tab at https://terminal.c1games.com/competitions/43.
The round # along the left of each row is a link to the match. So you can watch all of your own games that way.
They save the final rounds with the remaining top 8 for their live stream tomorrow.
Round 1 was a smaller set of algo’s to reach an even number for future rounds. There were 24 matches played with each one being won by the higher rated algo, so no highlights from that round!
It’s the same issue I have in my 1 loss with Comanche against your algo. I know how to fix it but I didn’t think it’d be an issue if you submitted a different one I beat…
Cinderella algo dk, the aglo that beat Ryan’s #1 seeded algo lost in this round:
RuberCuber(Highest rating: 2322)'s Track-X.6 beat ???(Highest rating:1536)'s dk in 15 turns - https://terminal.c1games.com/watch/2703887
Top 20 win
This match was for the a top 8 spot:
mmhuman(Highest rating: 2384)'s mhuman_top_24 beat Fangyu(Highest rating:1909)'s test35 in 29 turns - https://terminal.c1games.com/watch/2704060
I think this is winner-take-all. That seems to be their standard for these sorts of competitions unless they announce special rules (like the $100 bounties on the C1 competitions last season).
Sorry about not announcing this, recently, we have been doing top 4 splits as we felt the ‘winner take all’ system left a bad taste in the mouth of some of the top players. I also like the top 4 split because it makes every game a ‘money game’.
We will be doing-
1st: 250$
2nd: 100$
3rd and 4th: 75$
