Can You Still Join the Sentdex Competion?

The join button on the sentdex competition page doesn’t appear to work and the link on sentdex’s YouTube returns an internal server error. Can you still join the competetion?

It doesn’t work for me either.

When using Chrome developer tools I can see an error 500 happening when I click the join button:

Error: Request failed with status code 500 at LYNF.t.exports (…)

The sentdex special link would fail when you are already logged into an account. This has been fixed.

What happened?
Logged out users are directed to a special landing page, while logged in users automatically join the competition and enter the competition page. The competition had no requirements, and a recent change to how competition requirements were handled led to an error when competition_requirments was null. This caused the 500 error.

Thanks for the help. Also, if it isn’t too much trouble, my algo “Newton5.1.2” is currently 6th on the leaderboard so could I get the “Top Player” badge?

Hi @RegularRyan. What does your ranking have to be for the Top Player badge?

You have to be in the top 10 or in the top 8 of a tournament.
